fdu hosted another successful event in our Committed to Change Business Breakfast Series, in partnership with Nolan Business Solutions. Presentations covered business transformation and managing systems change in today’s fast growth business environment – a topic very real to our audience from the finance, business and human resources communities.

Mark Hennessy from Nolan Business Solutions spoke about indicators to watch out for that show you may not be best placed to take advantage of your ‘next’ in business. Great audience participation resulted in fruitful conversation around issues such as the pros and cons of unified systems; the importance of senior buy-in; seeking the right support from knowledgeable people before, during and after change and ensuring that interim resource of IP knowledge of new systems does not walk out of the door at the end of the project.

Katherine Baker from School for CEOs walked us through their business transformation and the unexpected positives they got out of it in terms of enhanced Client understanding and business planning capabilities. She neatly summarised the framework for thinking about change as: economics, flexibility, security and ease.

Everyone left the session armed with new knowledge to tackle and manage change – and plenty of food for thought on the realities of business transformation in action. The fdu team certainly garnered many more ideas for future events!
